Mazda MX5 Turbo - Porsche Hunting! Bedford Autodrome 02.12.24

First upload in a long time. I've not posted a video from Bedford Autodrome for a long time so I thought I'd share with you the cars first outing with it's full aero package upgrade!

Months of hard work has gone into this latest round of modifications but finally the car is now fully equipped with a much larger front splitter and air dam set up, front wheel venting, larger side skirts and a HUGE rear wing thanks to Cal at Race Car Wings.

I've custom built a fibreglass roof to fit over the Safety Devices roll cage and fitted custom made polycarbonate windows to suit, all in aid of better air flow to that new wing.

This track day was a test day to make sure everything worked and I was more than pleased to come away knowing it did.

The morning was wet throughout with it starting to dry in places right before lunch only to start raining again during. I packed up and called it a day as the testing was done but I had one of the best mornings on track for a while. The track was more than a little slippy so putting the power down and generally getting the thing to stop on AR1's was tricky to say the least. There were more than a few cars on the grass this time!

The lap in the video was a reasonably clean lap where I was hunting down some of the more exotic cars of the day in a trio of Porsches. Enjoy!

That's it for this years track action, the car is now getting tucked away for winter. It's been a long year with many changes but it's all been worth it. Roll on 2025!!
