Making a Flowrider Board

Описание: I made this board to ride the Flowrider waves found in water parks and on Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
The show face was made with Mahogany and Yellowheart and was intended to look like the bow of an antique wooden boat from the Muskokas (a Canadian cottage region).
Using veneers purchased from a skate shop, I was able to laminate them all together with a homemade vacuum press in a storage bag! This great idea was suggested by another maker, a gentleman I met on a cruise ship who has made several boards himself.

It was a great experience and I felt I learned quite a bit! I can see why Mr Beckley has made so many, as you learn so much the first time.
