The Barbie Girl song, was super popular in the Philippines where I was living at the time when it came out. I thought no way it was popular in the States, when I got home in 1999, I found I was wrong. The year was 2000, and in one of my film production classes, my class mates and I were tasked with making a music video. My group decided on Barbie Girl. For the most part it was a lesson in blue/green screen, compositing, etc. I always cringe when I see the quality of the keying, and the video for that matter, but it brings back great memories. It was definitely a fun project! 16 years later I can still appreciate it for what it was...haha, and hey it is always nice to see myself with hair again!
