Transcript - Patients ideal for body lift surgery are the ones who have lost a significant amount of weight and more importantly have reached their target weight which is probably in most cases worked out by a team of dieticians who may have been associated with that patient if they're part of a bariatric program. Patients most suitable for body lift surgery are those who have excess skin both on the front of the body which is around the abdominal area as well as have excess skin on the back and a degree of ptosis or droop of the buttock area. Body lift surgery is a procedure that can address laxity both in the front and the back which is how it differs from a traditional tummy tuck or an abdominoplasty which is obviously inadequate for the excess on the back.
