We did our Spiti Valley Road Trip in the month of January 2023 (first week of Jan). In this episode we have reached Kaza after 2 days of travel. We started from Kufri/Shimla and reached Kaza after two days. It did not snow in Kaza in the first week of Jan but rivers and waterfalls were frozen. Kaza temperature in the night dropped to -21 degree. The temperature in the day time in Kaza was between -8 to 15 degree depending on your location in Kaza.


Kaza - We stayed in Lakdor Homestay. I 100% recommend this homestay to everybody. I had a satisfactory experience here especially in winters.

We went to Spiti valley in our own car - Baleno and did not hire any other vehicle. However, it's not recommended to go to kaza spiti in your own vehicle from second week of Jan to March as Spiti valley and Kaza town is completely covered in snow.
