Описание: Attorney Robert Trautmann, based in the New Jersey office, discusses items that should be in your claim file as a public adjuster. One thing we see that is often overlooked, especially from newer public adjusters, is a notice of intent to repair or replace. Many insurance policies require that an insured give notice to the insurance company within 180 days that they are going to repair or replace their property and that they are going to see payment under the replacement cost value portion of the policy. If you don’t do that and don’t provide that notice within 180 days you could potentially wave the right to seek replacement cost and only be able to recover actual cash value which could have a significant impact on your client’s ability to recover money. If you need any help with these items or what constitutes good notice, give Merlin Law Group a call and any attorney would be more than happy to help.
