Archival footage shot by an amateur filmmaker while visiting the USSR, probably in late 1971
It contains stock footage of Moscow:
0:00: pedestrians and traffic lights
0:03: Soviet Gosplan headquarters (now the Russian State Duma)
0:19: the billboard of the XXIV Congress of the CPSU held in 1971
0:27: people walking in the street and car traffic
0:39: a shoeshine near the cinema. On the right side, the poster of the movie “The White Bird Marked with Black” (in Russian «Белая птица с чёрной отметиной»). That movie won the Golden Prize at Moscow Film Festival in July 1971; the wide release of it in Moscow cinemas began on January 1 1972
0:43: Maly Theatre
0:46: Bolshoi Theatre
1:03: a policeman directing traffic
1:24: trolleybus 20 on Gorky Street
1:27: trams 3 and A on Chistye Prudy Boulevard at the tramstop of Yauzsky Boulevard, on the crossroad with Vorontsovo Pole Street (camera zoom on houses 11-1, 13 with Stalinist skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment in the background)
1:50: Okhotnik (a Hunter) shop and Praga Restaurant in Arbat Street

8:13: view to the side of the Kremlin near Gostiniy Dvor in Stepan Razin (Varvarka) Street
8:24: the granite composition "The Death of a Leader" by sculptor Sergei Merkurov in the museum-estate Gorki Leninskiye: one of the masterpieces in the art of Leniniana, made under the influence of Auguste Rodin and Constantin Meunier
8:27: Kalinin Prospekt and the Church of Simeon the Stylite in Povarskaya Street; as there is no snow, the footage was probably shot weeks after the first part
8:34: the Square of the 50th Anniversary of October (Manezhnaya), National and Intourist hotels, Asia-Africa Institute of MSU
8:48: Moscow State University skyscraper and Lomonosov Monument
9:13: Red Square and the Kremlin shot from Raushskaya Embankment

13:12: the east side of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign, in today's Zaryadye Park
13:19: St Basil’s Cathedral in the Red Square
