Here's the first bow made from the Formufit furniture grade PVC pipe. I think it's a really nice looking bow. I'm calling it the Malachite Serpent because the green color reminds me of Malachite. It also has that gemstone-like glow to it in the sunlight.
So far, my overall impressions are that this pipe acts a lot like gray electrical conduit. It feels slower than it should be and it has taken quite a bit of set.
That said, this pipe is supposed to be UV and impact resistant, so that's a plus. The color also came out really nice. So overall it may be worth it if you don't mind a slower bow that deforms more in warmer temperatures.
I'll keep you guys updated as I do more testing.
