The warriors of the Steel Viper clan go through the mist rigorous training of any clan. With a success rate of 2% in their academies, this means the pilots of the vipers are not to be underestimated. This skill though comes at a cost. The Steel Vipers also number as one of the smaller clans militarily and thus can never really make the same kind of headway as their fellow clans.
Isolationist, even by clan standards, the steel vipers take pride in being neither crusader or warden. Choosing their own path they are viewed by the other clans as conniving and untrustworthy, while the steel vipers view their fellow clans as divisive and not truly following the way of Kerensky.
Regardless the steel vipers remain a formidable foe who despite their small size made progress against both the Federated Commonwealth and Clan Jade Falcon during and after the invasion of the Inner Sphere.
