To the West of Padstow on the North Cornwall coast lies Trevose Headland. On the East of the headland, you will find Mother Ivy's Bay, home to the Padstow Lifeboat Station, run by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, with views to Long Cove Beach in the distance. To the West of the headland, you will find Trevose Lighthouse and Round Hole, a large collapsed sea cave, both of which are featured in a separate video posted today as well.
The name Mother Ivey's Bay first appeared in 1870 and is named after a local wisewoman and white witch.
The Lifeboat Station was completed in July 2006, and houses the Tamar Lifeboat Spirit of Padstow.
