Описание: Dr Marijke Korteweg and her granddaughter Eva helped mark 250million passengers passing through the Channel Tunnel on Wednesday July 21, 2010. The significant milestone, equal to half the population of the European Union, has been reached after the service first began 16 years ago in June 1994. About 43,000 people, or a city the size of Canterbury, passes through the tunnel every day. Dr Korteweg is a regular Eurotunnel shuttle passenger and with her granddaugther was given an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Cheriton terminus. For more go to www.yourkenttv.co.uk.
