In this video, I will explain how to switch from the one-line-style format (file ending in .list) in Ubuntu to the Deb822-Style format (file ending in .sources). Since Ubuntu 23.10, deb822 .sources file is used instead of the previous .list file for third-party repositories. The new source files include ‘Signed-by’ section to specify the key file. For example, if you have an older version of Microsoft Edge on your system, you'll need to remove the old microsoft_edge.list and replace it with microsoft_edge.sources file. Also, if you have an older version of Vivaldi on your system, you'll need to remove the old vivaldi.list file and replace it with vivaldi.sources file. Failing to make these changes may result in several warning messages during your next update and upgrade.
How to get rid of the warning messages: "Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-i386/Packages'" and "Missing Signed-By in the sources.list(5) entry for".
