Born in China, Yanming began his musical journey as a composer deeply influenced by Eastern musical traditions. Today, he translates those stories through the language of rock guitar, sharing them with the world.
Inspired by guitar legends Joe Satriani and Guthrie Govan, Yanming has fused the spirit of Western rock with the essence of traditional Chinese music, forging a distinct and cinematic guitar voice that bridges cultures. His band, Yanming Lu Band, has set stages ablaze at iconic venues such as Universal CityWalk Hollywood, bringing a fresh Eastern narrative to the heart of the American rock scene.
Yanming’s artistic vision is to break boundaries between East and West and become the first internationally recognized Chinese rock guitarist to tell authentic Eastern stories through music. His original instrumental single “Phoenix Rebirth”, released in 2025, is the embodiment of this vision—a powerful musical journey that builds a cultural bridge through six strings.
