This circa 1950s TV show "Bold Journey" is hosted by Jack Douglas, and features the editor of True Magazine, Douglas Kennedy, who was a big game hunter. Published by Fawcett Publications from 1937 to 1974, True magazine was at its most popular in the 1960s when it had a circulation of over 2 million. "Bold Journey" ran for three seasons on ABC, 1956-1959, and this particular episode aired in Season 3. The crew brought along a pet rhesus monkey and he hangs around with Bob, a member of the team and the magazine’s chief photographer, at 08:57. A careful hunt of the rhinoceros takes place (09:30-10:20). A rogue rhino has driven the local Maasai people out of their town, so the crew agree to help take down the animal (10:35-13:20).
