My solo pilgrimage across Japan’s sacred 88 Temples of Shikoku begins here — at Temple 1, Ryōzenji. In this episode, I quietly ride from Temple 1 to Temple 11, taking in the calm, cold atmosphere of the early morning. I speak very little in this video — this part of the journey was about observing, listening, and learning from the devoted pilgrims around me.
I captured this section as it happened — the rituals, the chants, the quiet footsteps — without over-narrating. Let the atmosphere speak for itself.
