The BOSCH 18V Compact Reciprocating Saw features a lightweight, compact design with a variable speed trigger switch, toolless blade-change, a LED light, and 0 to 3100 SPM (strokes per minute).

I tested the saw by cutting a variety of materials which included a 4x4 post, EMT conduit, threaded rods, & PVC pipes. All the cuts in this video are recorded in normal speed.

The saw cut through the materials fairly smoothly. While cutting the 3/4” threaded rod, I started to feel some discomfort due to the position of the switch lock and how long it was taking to cut the material. The switch lock doesn’t lock in place, so you have to hold it the entire time while cutting. It would be nice if the switch lock could lock in place so that it can be more comfortable for cutting thicker materials.
