Managing Multiple Co-Morbidities

Increasingly hospitalized patients present with an acute condition that is superimposed on a multitude of pre-existing medical problems, many of which are affected by their illness. Assessing and treating these patients requires an organized approach to care. Generalists in a hospital setting also need to clarify and advocate for the patient's and family's broader goals and values. In this talk the presenter will share some overall thoughts and use case examples to demonstrate these principles.
