This is a super fun version of a single star drop, and less painful too!
This however, is whats called an "open" drop, meaning there is no lock to catch you. The brake is created solely by your grip. For that reason, I have labeled this drop as Advanced.
Also, getting the feel for this type of movement requires good body awareness in how to rotate the hips with control to slow your movements down or speed them up depending on the style you are going for.
Be sure you feel comfortable with star drop before moving onto J-Roll!
*Tip: Jackknife from single footlock (either split poles or together) is great practice for this drop as several of the movements are the same.
