The market is changing!!! This is a warning to all Buyers - the trends we are seeing indicate that the ship is about to sail on it being a Buyer's market and it's already starting to flip in favour of some Sellers.
This week's inventory marks the lowest we have seen since May 2023, which was our busiest month of last year. More notably however, Georgetown's inventory level has not been this low since March 2022, which was the month we had our highest average price ever in Halton Hills. This just gives you a snapshot and an idea of how low current inventory levels are and the current trends don't appear to be indicating that we will see inventory flood back to the market.
This is going to get really interesting. The Bank of Canada did not raise rates and it feels like we are in the clear for future rate hikes, SO, Buyers appear to be back! There are still homes that have been on the market for months that you could possibly get a 'deal' on, but the reality is that probably won't be the case by the end of February. I never would have guessed in October that this is where our market would be!
