A review of an ungraceful year.
I have this superstition that odd years are better than even years. Don’t ask me how I got there. Could be OCD or could be that one Jerry springer episode were he brought on a psychic and she said that very thing. We’ll never know, but what I will say is that this year has completely disproved my theory.
I’ve had great things happen. I went to more author events, spent more time with my best friend, started a writers group, a discord, two book clubs, published a poem, wrote so many short stories I need to organize them on my desktop, and I read some really good books!
But a lot of these good things were overshadowed by life and mortality and my mental health. I’m hoping so hard that this next year brings peace and resilience and productivity and I hope the same thing for you too!
I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. Booktube has truly and profoundly changed my life. Thank you all for being a part of it.
