Sometimes less is more and Sanu Lake Guesthouse is really one property that exemplifies this principle. It’s basic, really basic. But that doesn’t offset the value this guesthouse brings. There are such amazing views everywhere and all the time giving one a reminder of life as it should be, allowing us the space to be present and appreciating this beautiful rock we call planet earth.

Sanu Lake on D Water Guest House is clean with a friendly staff. The beds are comfortable enough although you'll find authentic, Nepali style mattresses in your room. I complain when I see these but always sleep nicely on them. Our rooms were nice and clean, too.

Seriously, we really enjoyed ourselves here and highly recommend the Sanu Lake Guest House regardless of your expectations of the amenities. The views, the quiet, the friendly staff will make sure you have a lovely time here. As usual, we enjoyed a couple nights' complimentary stay as an exchange for doing this video. There were so many things that didn't work out as we planned, so I was so happy to end the trip at such a lovely place.
