CHEMICLEAN - Their biggest challenge yet!

Описание: This has been my most difficult tank to date... from hair algae and Cyanobacteria, to fish deaths and believing the hype of some products out there... it’s been enough to almost make me start over. However, this product actually works! I’m at least backing in this single success!

I’m not sure how this fairy dust works exactly, but I do know that Cyanobacteria needs oxygen to survive. This stuff starves that out, so you will need to over oxygenate the tank. I used a lot of surface agitation with my gyres and just let the skimmer run with the cup off. You can also aerate with an air stone if you like (like the freshies do). :)

Note... this was videoed over the course of 4 days. I’m an no videographer and no one pays me for anything I review. This is just a video blog/journal/vlog and I hope it helps others out there with similar interests.

Notables:

*When I was done, I did about a 15% water change. They recommend like 20%, but my tank is pretty big. I don’t have a means to hold that much water in mi casa. I’m working on it though!

*I added a new reactor (BRS GFO & Carbon Reactor - Single with Sicce Syncra 1.5 Pump) just for a product called Pureit, by Brightwell Aquatics. It’s reviews are awesome, lasts a good amount of time, and should easily compensate for my smaller-than-recommenced water change. I may do a review on this after I use it for awhile. I also have ROX 0.8 carbon media should I need it.

*i highly suspect that (at least part of) my algae problems are due to the salt mix I was using. I just used up the last of it and have purchased some new stuff. I know that a lot of guys say that as a cop out for over feeding, but I’ve been in the game long enough to know that something might be going on with this stuff. I’ll report my findings later on this as I have several videos documenting these issues.
