Australian snowboarder Cameron Bolton has been ruled out of the 2026 Winter Olympics after suffering two stable neck fractures during a training session in Livigno, Italy. The 35-year-old veteran and 2025 World Championship silver medalist was airlifted to a Milan hospital following the accident.
Despite initially walking away from the crash, Bolton later reported severe neck pain, and medical scans confirmed the fractures. He has been withdrawn from the men’s snowboard cross event, marking a major setback for Team Australia. Olympic debutant James Johnstone has been named as his replacement.
