They don't call it a shakedown cruise for nothing. Thank god we have practiced scenarios for emergencies under way. It definitely saved us. Since we are going to be in Ft Lauderdale for a while waiting on our part, we decide to do some adventuring around the city and see a spectacular sailboat named Smith. Its for sale for a modest price of $12 million, mere pocket change......
We finish our repairs nd start sailing out of our favorite port/inlet....NOT!!! This is one of our least favorite inlets to come in and out of from the simple amount of boat traffic alone. The seas at this inlet can also be quite challenging at times to add to that. But it is still the best way in and out of the ICW to tuck in and grab an anchorage with resources nearby. Now its time for Sailing back to Miami!!
