A good strategy in table tennis against long pimples is to play one topspin followed by one push and keep repeating that pattern. This makes it easy for you to read the spin on the ball and play an aggressive topspin after your push as you know the ball will come back from your push with no backspin and maybe a little bit of topspin. However, once your opponent gets used to this pattern and they are good with their long pimples they can start putting more pressure on you. If this happens you need to mix up your tactics and play more than one topspin in a row before you push.
