EPIC Joffre Lakes Backpacking Hike (Matier Glacier) | Know THIS before camping!

Know that drones are prohibited so please avoid.
Take advantage and beat the heat by swimming in the middle lake on the way to the campground and perhaps have another dip once you have set the camp.
We hiked in July and it was perfect.
Mosquitoes are bad so please carry mosquito net and cover your skin. I have added multiple timelapse because i love videography.

Pro- tip: Book camping pass for weekdays, or, Sunday through Monday/Tuesday as it's hard to get a spot Thursday/Friday onwards.
Distance: 7.4 kms out and back to Upper/Third Lake + 1 km to Campground + 1 hour to hike up the glacier. It might be a long day to do it as a day hike if you intend to hike up Matier Glacier so I recommend camping at Joffre Lake campground.
Camping Reservation Fee: $5 for booking per person, $6 per day as of 2024.
Pro-tip: Input your car license details while booking so you can print the receipt and leave it in front of the car while camping. Just to be safe, otherwise, let the park rangers know at the entrance.
