In these challenging times of geopolitical upheaval, climate anxiety, the impact of AI, and broad fiscal constraints at every turn, it can be difficult to remain present for our selves and our students in the work we do as educators and scholars. In this presentation, I will share some thoughts about how we can ground ourselves in practices that focus on our responsibility to teach people, rather than subjects. Looking to land, art and story as both curriculum and pedagogy, we will walk through the Medicine Wheel together to explore how this holistic framework can help us uphold that responsibility in holistic and nurturing ways.
