Today we collect our new rescue chickens who are ex-battery hens from the British Hen Welfare Trust. These are hens that are no longer financially viable to producers so if not rehomed are sent to slaughter.
We already have hens from the trust who are great companions to have around and we look forward to what the new chickens will bring to our little flock.
