In December 2015 a small town in Naujan Oriental MIndoro got wiped out when Typhoon Nona ravaged the province. But according to locals , the typhoon was not meant to be blamed, more so the ground went weak due to an alleged illegal mining in the area.
As days goes by, there is a need to address this pressing issue before the problem takes its toll and the land will be left in shambles.
