Why You SHOULD Visit BOTANY BAY & KINGSGATE BAY In Kent!

Описание: I am really treating you on this week’s adventure as I visit not one, not two but THREE beaches. Today I am in the beautiful seaside area of Cliftonville situated next to the popular tourist destination of Margate in the Thanet district of Kent. In this 4K walking tour I’ll be taking you with me along the coast, starting off at Palm Bay, making my way round to Botany Bay and ending at Kingsgate Bay. If you’re looking for a scenic coastal walk with golden sandy beaches, a perfect place for a dog walk and a pint, then these hidden gem beaches are places you must visit this Summer!

Palm Bay is a tranquil area with free parking, a large green with a café, and best of all a secluded dog friendly beach, plus Jet Ski World! Walk with me down the Viking Trail and a mile later (after some brilliant clifftop views) we reach Botany Bay - one of the most photographed bays in Kent with dramatic white cliffs and the famous chalk stacks, and also a popular place for fossil hunting. Botany Bay has its own hotel, bar and restaurant too. Just over another half mile walk along the coast we get to Kingsgate Bay, my personal favourite – a sheltered sandy cove with more white cliffs and the prominent Kingsgate Castle overlooks the bay. Family friendly and dog friendly. Of course I stop for a beer and something to eat at the clifftop pub, the Captain Digby, with amazing sea views. If you carry on walking you’ll soon get to the amazing seaside town of Broadstairs.
