You awake to the pounding of something awful.
The air is suffocating, with the ash and heat equivalent to thousands of furnaces invading your lungs.
Bringing yourself to your feet, you feel the pulsing of the ground around you.
The ground is stone solid, yet with each footstep a distinct squelching noise can be heard.
Along the walls, ground, and ceiling, visible veins are seen intertwined and twisting through crevices and stone, moving and twitching.
The pounding gets louder and stronger, vibrating your chest and head.
And with each pulse, an unusual sensation begins to trickle up and down your body.
Hunger.
