STORYLINE:
Flowers and pictures have been placed at a makeshift memorial for Brigitte Bardot Sunday outside of her sea-side home in Saint Tropez.

Fans placed the items at a metal barricade that barred entrance to the grounds of her estate, known as La Madrague.

Bardot passed away at her Saint Tropez home earlier Sunday, according to Bruno Jacquelin, of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the protection of animals. She was 91-years-old.

Speaking to The Associated Press, he gave no cause of death, and said that no arrangements had been made for funeral or memorial services.
