Classic UK show based on Aesop's Fables from 1990. Tales of Aesop narrated by Tom Baker.
Aesop's classic fabes retold using puppets, and set in a modern-day suburbia. Suburbanites include Boris the Lion, Cedric Tortoise, Hubert Hare and his twin brother Hogwyn, Mrs Bytte the Wolf, Geraldine Donkey, Becky Bird, Joshua Goat, Archibald Frog and Willy the Bumblefly.
The animals are gloriously simple hand puppets, with solid wooden heads.
Sadly, Tales of Aesop has been all-but forgotten since its broadcast, back in 1990.
