Repairing the ashtray console door on your 1987–1993 Mustang is quick and easy with this 6-piece kit, which addresses the two most common issues: a broken console pin and a damaged console arm where the spring attaches. Installation starts by removing the storage bin, lifting the console, and taking out the shift boot screws, ashtray door, and lighter. Follow Bill’s step-by-step instructions to assemble and install the repair kit, then reassemble the console and secure all bolts. This whole install takes about twenty minutes.
