The player is intended to use one of the difficulty rebalancing designed after the difficulty settings in the Devil May Cry games and intending to emulate the selection of them.
With the difficulties operating like so:
-Easy
-Devil Hunter (Medium)
-Son of Sparda (Hard)
-Dante Must Die (Very Hard)
-Heaven or Hell (Everyone Dies in One Hit)
-Hell or Hell (Player Dies in One Hit)

Dark Souls 3 May Cry-- Overhauls certain player model, animations and gameplay balancing to replicate that of Devil May Cry's for a unique experience in the Souls world of Dark Souls 3.
