The Upper Midwest Late Model Series in Minnesota is an upon and coming series designed to keep cost to a minimum and still have great looking fast cars. It is the fastest growing series in the midwest and for a reason. Cost are truly a point of contention for the race directors and participants. Three of the bigger points are to cut cost on tires, shocks, and motor programs. They only use take off or used tires, steel body shocks and a 604 Crate type engine. The series allows the racer to prepare the tire and make it better for racing, by sipping, grinding and using tire preps.
