Emergency fire warnings updated after 71 homes claimed by WA bushfire

Описание: Residents of Western Australia’s Shady Hills Estate have been warned to consider evacuating as changing weather conditions are expected to turn the Perth Hills bushfire toward the region.

WA Fire Commissioner Darren Klemm this morning advised residents to enact their bushfire safety plans as gusts of up to 70 kilometres an hour were expected later in the day.

“It is really critical that people have their plan in place and make sure they’re prepared,” he said.

The commissioner also confirmed a total of 71 homes have been destroyed by the fire, however, there was no evidence of any loss of life.
