🔶Frenchman Peak is located in the Cap-Le-Grand National Park 70 kilometers east of the Western Australian southern coastal seaport of Esperance, known as "the most beautiful coast of Australia".

🔶Frenchman Peak was named after the shape of the mountain top, similar to the hat worn by the army in France in the 19th century. In 1870, explorer Alexander Forrest discovered and named it during an expedition in search of a good ranch.

🔶Frenchman Peak is the second highest point of the National Park at an altitude of 262 meters above sea level in the west of the Great Sea Corner National Park. From the top of the mountain there is a view of the National Park and Esperance Bay.

🔶It takes 2 to 3 hours to climb back and forth for about 3 kilometers.
