The studio sessions with Peter Hall for this edition were recorded on September 14th 1976. That same day Hall wrote about the show in his published diaries:
"Worked on Aquarius this afternoon: a very good film by Jeremy Marr on British reggae. Good music; good, strong, arrogant personalities. I didn't enjoy my contribution much, except that, after experiencing all this black culture from Brixton and Stoke Newington, I was able to say 'and next week, Miss Janet Baker.' Diversity...."
