সূরা আল-ইমরান সর্বসম্মতভাবে মাদানি সুরা। এটি পবিত্র কোরআনের ৩ নম্বর সূরা। এর আয়াত সংখ্যা ২০০। রুকু আছে ২০টি।

ইমরান হলেন হজরত ঈসা আলাইহিস সালামের নানা এবং হজরত মারইয়াম আলাইহিস সালামের পিতা। এ সূরার ৩৩ ও ৩৪নং আয়াতে তাঁর (ইমরানের) পরিবারের কথা ও বর্ণনা রয়েছে। আলামত হিসেবে এ সূরার নাম আল-ইমরান হিসেবে গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে। এ সূরার আরেক নাম আজ-জাহ্রাহ্ বা আলোকচ্ছটা। ’ (মুসলিম)

এছাড়াও এ সুরার অনেক সুরা তাইবাহ, আল-কানুয, আল-আমান, আল-মুজাদালাহ, আল-ইসতেগফার, আল-মানিয়াহ ইত্যাদি নাম দেয়া হয়েছে। এ সুরার অনেক নাম দেয়া হলেও সুরাটি ‘আল-ইমরান’ নামেই গ্রহণযোগ্য ও পরিচিত।


Surah Al-Imran is unanimously Madani Surah. This is Surah number 3 of the Holy Quran. Its number of verses is 200. There are 20 bows.

Imran is the grandfather of Hazrat Isa alaihis salam and father of Hazrat Maryam alaihis salam. Verses 33 and 34 of this Surah contain the words and descriptions of his (Imran's) family. As evidence, the name of this Surah is taken as Al-Imran. Another name of this Surah is Az-Zahrah or the Light. (Muslim)

Also, many surahs of this surah are named as Taybah, Al-Qanuz, Al-Aman, Al-Mujadalah, Al-Istegfar, Al-Maniyah etc. Although many names have been given to this surah, the surah is accepted and known as 'Al-Imran'.

সূরা আল ইমরানের ফজিলত

হজরত কাব রাদিয়াল্লাহু আনহু বলেছেন, সূরা বাকারা এবং সুরা আল-ইমরান উভয়ে নিজ নিজ পাঠকদের সম্পর্কে বলবে, হে প্রতিপালক! এ ব্যক্তির বিরুদ্ধে কোনো অভিযোগ নেই। ’

রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম বলেন, কেয়ামতের দিন কুরআন ও যারা কুরআন অনুযায়ী আমল করতো তাদেরকে নিয়ে আসা হবে। সূরা বাকারা ও সূরা আল-ইমরান (তেলাওয়াতকারীরা) আগে আগে চলবে। মেঘের ছায়া বা পাখির মতো। এরা জোরালোভাবে আল্লাহ তাআলার কাছে সুপারিশ করবে। (মুসলিম)

প্রিয়নবি সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম ইরশাদ করেন, যে ব্যক্তি সূরা বাকারা এবং সূরা আল ইমরান জুমআর রাতে তথা বৃহস্পতিবার দিবাগত রাতে পাঠ করবে, আল্লাহ তাআলা তাকে সাত আসমান ও সাত জমিন পর্যন্ত সাওয়াব দান করবেন। ’ (খোলাসাতুত তাফসির)

রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম বলেছেন, তোমরা কুরআন পাঠ কর। কারণ, তা পাঠকারীর জন্য কেয়ামতের দিন সুপারিশকারী হিসেবে আসবে। তোমরা দু’টি আলোকচ্ছটাময় ‘সূরা বাকারা ও সূরা আল-ইমরান পড়; কেননা এ দুটি সুরা কেয়ামতের দিন এমনভাবে আসবে যেন দুটি মেঘখণ্ড অথবা দুটি ছায়া অথবা দু’বাক পাখির মতো। তারা এসে এ দু’সুরা পাঠকারীদের পক্ষ নেবে। ’ (মুসলিম)

Virtues of Surah Al-Imran

Hazrat Ka'b Radiyallahu Anhu said, Both Surah Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran will say about their respective readers, O Lord! There are no charges against this person. '

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, On the Day of Resurrection, the Qur'an and those who acted according to the Qur'an will be brought. Surah Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran (the reciters) will go first. Like the shadow of a cloud or a bird. They will intercede strongly with Allah Ta'ala. (Muslim)

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever recites Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran on the night of Friday and the night before Thursday, Allah will reward him up to seven heavens and seven earths. (Kholasatut Tafsir)

Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, recite the Qur'an. Because, it will come as an intercessor for the reciter on the Day of Judgment. Read the two luminous Surah Baqarah and Surah Al-Imran; Because these two Surahs will come on the Day of Resurrection like two clouds or two shadows or two beaks of a bird. They will come and take the side of those who read these two surahs. (Muslim)
