“This American Negro” is a social and culture podcast that aims to incite conversation and community building through an intentional dialogue. I am your host Marquise Davon. I am an educator, activist, and overall thinker.
Kevin Samuels has an interesting relationship to Black men. I think it was one that felt more exploitative than genuinely helpful to our community. He sold an aspiration to Black men, but we don't realize what he was asking of us and we did not critically engage with what he was actually saying.
