We have pre-loaded it with over 500 songs (including every X-mas tune in the Yamaha catalog) and of course with 128MB of internal memory you can add an almost unlimited number of songs on your own. With its powerful bass, singing treble, and sensitive keyboard, this piano will not only serve your student's needs (and will put a big grin on your teacher's face) but will satisfy much more advanced pianists as well. The Yamaha U series, especially the U1, are requested by more teachers shopping with their students than all other pianos combined. A USA spec piano and NOT one of the ubiquitous “grey market” ones (trust us a big difference), it was completely built in Japan in 1997 and finished in ebony polish that has nary a mark on it and just seems to glow.
