Alright folks, just quickly before we get into the video there’s a few key points i need to cover.
The plates I’ve developed are not for sale just yet as i need clarification on legality and liabilities. Therefore, i DO NOT accept any liability from anyone replicating these or fitting them poorly etc.
If MCC do not add these to their kit i will release the blueprints for people to have them made up themselves. But again I can’t be held responsible for anyone doing whatever they will with those blueprints.
I can’t comment on how these plates affect ADR approval of the recovery points, or if they change any liability from MCC. The chance of the product or plates failing is extremely minimal and there are several factors to consider, like common sense and due diligence when recovering and the fitting of the products.
The plates are simply there to replicate a Roo bar mount around the chassis to allow the complete assembly to properly clamp to the chassis and not just float there like the kit is currently supplied from MCC.
I’m currently working with MCC to try and have the plates checked by their engineers and approved to be part of a “no bar” kit by MCC to retain all ADR approval and liability with MCC.
Lastly, I’m not sure these will work with a nudge bar being the nudge bar mounts to the chassis in a similar spot as well as other branded Roo bars on the market, I’m not sure of compatibility.
Thanks for reading. Please enjoy
Disclaimer! I take no responsibility or liability for anyone who re-enacts or copies this process, it is done at your own risk and always refer to the relevant local authorities and design regulations.
This is the FIRST in AUS that I'm aware of and Hopefully MCC will add these as part of a "no bar" kit!
