Hans van Haeften belongs to the young generation of talented Dutch organists who also have a talent for IMPROVISATION.
His improvisational talent was the direct reason for the invitation to the improvisation project for which the recordings took place in November 2022 in the Sint Joriskerk in Amersfoort together with eight other improvising organists.

ABOUT HANS van Haeften,
Hans van Haeften is an organist, pianist, conductor, teacher and composer.
He studied organ, piano and church music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Jos van der Kooy, Katy Satur and Theo Goedhart
In 2011 he concluded his studies with a concert in the old Bavo in Haarlem (Julius Reubke: Psalm 94 and Max Reger: Variaties, opus 73).
Then followed masterclasses and private lessons with Ton Koopman, Jean-Claude Zehnder, Daan Manneke, Loïc Maillé, Peter Planyavsky, Jürgen Essl and Hayo Boerema.
In 2011 he obtained his master's degree in Dutch Language and Culture at Leiden University with a thesis on rhetoric and cabaret.

Hans works as a cantor-organist at the Vredeskerk in Nijkerk.
As a concert musician, he improvises in all styles.
He has won prizes and places in the finals for his organ playing.
Hans teaches organ and piano playing.
At music lessons he works a lot with 'learning to learn' and improvisation.

Hans van Haeften is organist, pianist, dirigent, docent en componist.
Hij studeerde orgel, piano en kerkmuziek aan Koninklijk Conservatorium teDen Haag bij Jos van der Kooy, Katy Satur en Theo Goedhart
In 2011 sloot hij de studie af.
Daarna masterclasses en privélessen gevolgd, bij Ton Koopman, Jean-Claude Zehnder, Daan Manneke, Loïc Maillé, Peter Planyavsky, Jürgen Essl en Hayo Boerema.
In 2011 haalde hij zijn masterdiploma Nederlandse Taal en Cultuur aan de Universiteit Leiden met een scriptie over retorica en cabaret.

Hans werkt als cantor-organist bij de Vredeskerk te Nijkerk.
Als concertmusicus improviseert hij in alle stijlen.
Voor zijn orgelspel heeft hij prijzen en finaleplaatsen behaald.
Hans geeft les in orgel- en pianospel.
Op muzieklessen werkt hij veel met ‘leren leren’ en improvisatie.

ORGEL GESCHIEDENIS
In 1845 bouwde Carl Friedrich August Naber (1796-1861) een orgel waarin delen van voormalige instrument zijn verwerkt.
In 1903,1925, 1935: J.de Koff verving meerdere registers.
RESTAURATIE
1969 Fa. De Koff herstelde of reconstrueerde de oorspronkelijke dispositie.
Op het Hoofdwerk werd een Scherp 3-4 st. toegevoegd.
Het orgel is in 1969 op een nieuwe galerij geplaatst aan de westzijde van de kerk.
Vanwege faillissement van de FA. de Koff voltooide de Fa. Flentrop de restauratie.
In 1995 is het orgel opnieuw gerestaureerd door de Fa. Flentrop.
Na restauratie van de kerk in 2011 bleek het orgel vervuild.
Het orgel kreeg in 2012 een schoonmaakbeurt en pijpwerk werd zonodig, gerepareerd.
Fa. De Jongh schilderde het orgel in de oorspronkelijke kleurstelling.

In 1845, Carl Friedrich August Naber (1796-1861) built a new organ incorporating parts of the former instrument.
1969 De Koff restored and reconstructed the original disposition.
The organ was placed in a new gallery on the west side of the church in 1969.
Due to the bankruptcy of the FA. de Koff completed the Fa. Flentrop's restoration.
In 1995 and 2011 the organ was again restored by the Fa. Flentrop.
