This short video documents the final performance of the artistic research project "Sound Spatialisation in DJ Performances", presented by Ana Rita Costa (MAYAN) as part of the Master's Degree in Sound Arts and Technologies at ESMAE - Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo (Porto), in June 2025.
The performance took place in ESMAE's Studio A, using a 7.1.4 sound system, with real-time spatialisation of a stereo signal coming from CDJs. The main objective was to investigate how sound spatialisation can expand the performative language of DJing, articulating accessible tools (such as the IEM plugins in REAPER) with a phenomenological approach to listening.
