After recent dark events, we finally begin to find ourselves to be making gains again as we finally set foot in North America, continue to reject Holland's offer of support for their independence
and gradually make a comeback, but recent expenses show our income has seen better days.

Also, If I'm correct, colonial range is not taken into consideration when colonizing provinces that are adjacent to your territory. As long as there's a colonial province bordering your territory, you can colonize it.

NOTE: The DLC's involved in this are the major expansions except from the latest one, Cossack's. The game might lag more when more of the world is revealed, so watch out for that. And if you're going for colonialism without a custom nation, Portugal and Castille/Spain are the best choices as they're colonial ranges is much closer to Africa and America, as well as other colonial regions, as well as they're the major and most original colonial powers, with Portugal being one of the first to colonise Africa, and Spain being one of the most prominent, having more hold of land in America than anyone else.
