RADIO CALLING SAFETY BYTE

Описание: The BCFSC Safety Bytes Video Series has been developed to increase awareness of relevant safety topics to the forest industry. Each video summarizes the key issues for each focus topic and provides links to resources with additional information. ___________________________________________________________________

Radio Calling Safety Byte Video: Most Forest Service and resource roads in BC are radio-assisted, rather than radio-controlled, and not all vehicles travelling these roads will be equipped with mobile radios. Road users are reminded not to drive exclusively according to the radio and to always expect the unexpected.

Since 2017, the BC provincial government has worked with industry and other stakeholders to standardize radio communication procedures including the use of a standard bank of resource road mobile radio channels and calling protocols (call content and order). Where posted, road users using mobile radios must use the posted channels and call protocols posted.
