Polaritons, the eigenstates of coupled light-matter systems, have several remarkable properties. In particular, at high density they can form a collective quantum state akin to a Bose-Einstein condensate. However, the non-equilibrium nature of polariton condensates also leads to a number of unique features. In this talk, I will give a broad overview of organic polariton condensation and also describe more recent experiments on polariton superfluidity and intersystem crossing in the strong light-matter coupling regime.
