In this Pinball Tech Tips video, I show you how to restore the original shine to old, dull, slightly scratched pinballs — in about 60 seconds.

Over time, pinballs become cloudy, scratched, and dirty from thousands of plays. A rough or dull ball can:

• Slow down gameplay
• Increase playfield wear
• Damage clearcoat
• Make your game look older than it is

In this quick tutorial, I demonstrate:

• How to polish a used pinball
• What to use to remove haze and light scratches
• When to polish vs. when to replace a pinball

A buffing wheel has risks so use eye protection and be careful. You can also use a tumbler which gives similar results but takes a lot longer. I'm using this method for speed.

This is a simple maintenance trick I use regularly in my arcade to keep over 100 machines playing fast and looking their best.
