Until the end of 2016 this crossing had metal gates worked by a gate keeper who had a traditional cabin on the front right corner. Thus it wasn’t previously filmed. The cabin is now on the Ecclesbourne Valley heritage railway. With 16 vehicles a day using the crossing the cost per car must have been around £20. The former crossing keeper’s cottage remains on the front left corner. An outbreak of ‘Access Point Information’ signs has broken out in this area. Personally I think they are double the size they should be. This reduces the number of English level crossings missing from this channel to 6. Very disappointed to find that someone has uploaded 80 videos of this crossing. That is so unfair on new young filmers who now have little chance of getting their videos seen.
